Summit Experience

The #Decarbonize Student Leadership Summit brings together young changemakers from diverse backgrounds, to build their leadership skills, and empower them to lead the fight against climate change.


It is a week-long education and leadership program for global children between the ages of 13-19. It runs every year in parallel to the UN Climate Change Conference (same place, same time). Students will attend UN events, turning their Summit learning into real advocacy opportunities.

Who Attends?

If you are between the ages of 13-19 this program is for you!


There are two levels of participation:

  • General Student - Come enjoy & learn!
  • Global Lead Student - Students who would like to represent their continent in the negotiation zone of the UN Climate Change Conference

EcoKnowledge Student Colloquium @ COP28

The EcoKnowledge Student Colloquium at COP28 is an environmental and climate-focused student knowledge, research, and action fair, hosted in parallel to the UN Climate Change Conference in Dubai.


It aims to empower and inspire the next generation of environmental leaders by fostering innovative solutions, scientific inquiry, and creative thinking.


The EcoKnowledge Student Colloquium invites high school students from around the world to showcase their research projects addressing pressing climate challenges through interactive displays, presentations, and discussions.


The event will promote knowledge exchange, cross-cultural understanding, and collaboration, by connecting these young minds with policymakers, scientists, and industry experts attending COP28.

Travel & Scholarships

Scholarships to attend are available!

  • The scholarship program is open to all participants
  • Priority in funding will be to support participants from the Least Developed Countries, Indigenous peoples, women & girls, and individuals from traditionally underrepresented communities
  • You will access funds through the application form. All applications are reviewed by program staff.
