Student leadership summit
Changemakers, storytellers, action-takers, youth leaders
The #Decarbonize Student Leadership Summit brings together young changemakers from diverse backgrounds, to build their leadership skills, and empower them to lead the fight against climate change.
It is a week-long education and leadership program for global children between the ages of 13-19. It runs every year in parallel to the UN Climate Change Conference (same place, same time). Students will attend UN events, turning their Summit learning into real advocacy opportunities.
If you are between the ages of 13-19 this program is for you!
There are two levels of participation:
A once-in-a-lifetime experience! Don't just take our word for it!
By participating in the #Decarbonize Summit, students earn a certificate to include on school and award applications and their resumes. This is a rewarding leadership experience you’ll use for years to come!
Learn to present your ideas and research to a diverse audience. Build your public speaking skills, and confidence to effectively convey complex concepts related to climate change
Connecting with experts, activists, and policymakers at the conference opens doors for future opportunities, internships, and partnerships in the field of climate change and sustainability.
Learn skills needed to communicate effectively across deep divides of language, culture, personality, professional and social background
Interacting with individuals from regions impacted by climate change encourages students to develop empathy and a deeper understanding of the human dimension of environmental challenges.
2023 AGENDA
The Summit offers a range of sessions that provide educators and students the opportunity to interact and learn from each other.

For me, #Decarbonize means youth action. We have the opportunity to take the lead and do what we can in order to make positive changes, locally and globally. As the old saying goes, "Water dropping day by day wears the hardest rock away." (滴水穿石)

Juana, 15, Argentina
#Decarbonize spearheaded and amplified my advocacy on climate awareness and education. It was a great stepping stone towards ecological conversion and widening the scope of climate education within the academic sector.
